An OSCE /OSPE is a type of Objective type of Test used in medical and paramedical sciences. It is structured to test knowledge, clinical or procedural skill and competence in a range of the same skills. It is a practical approach to learning and assessment. A) IN SKILL STATIONS
- 1)The student should be aware of the method of expected TASK / PROCEDURE (SKILL)
- 2)The student should be able to demonstrate the procedure correctly.
- 3)The student should introduce himself/herself to patient.
- 4)The student should be able communicate with patient regarding what procedure he/she is going to perform.
- 5)The student should make the patient comfortable and ease
- 6)The student should take consent of patient for examination before examining
- 7)The student should thank the patient after completion of task
B) RESPONSE STATIONS-
You are expected to answer questions based upon interpretation of skill performed/knowledge related to skill.
C)-QUESTION STATIONS-
You are expected to answer questions asked on the given instrument / drug / contraceptive / specimen /clinical scenario.
